Servtec /SBM is recruiting for its client, candidates for Construction Project Manager positions based in Cabo Delgado (Palma).
Responsibilities
- Overall project management from start to completion
- Define and document project scope, objectives and desired outcomes.
- Create detailed schedules, project parameters, and budget expectations.
- Coordinate and lead planning sessions for project development and execution.
- Prepare a budget based on project scope.
- Set and adhere to budgetary allocation.
- Ensure project delivery is on time, as per scope and within the allocated budget.
- Create and manage contracts with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Create and maintain detailed key project documentation.
- Manage staffing and other resource needs to maximize potential for successful execution of projects.
- Provide project updates to stakeholders as per demand and requirement.
- Perform regular assessment of project execution to identify areas for improvement;
- Undertake risk management to minimize potential risks.
- Compile project risk mitigation plan.
- Set and manage stakeholder expectations, both internally and externally.
- Delegate project activities and duties in accordance with team members’ strengths and experience.
- Track project performance periodically to ensure both short-term and long-term goals are met and any deviations are addressed immediately.
- Manage interdepartmental coordination to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering/Project Management or equivalent.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
- Minimum of 10 years working in construction projects.
- Track record of managing large-scale, complex construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of project management techniques, including use of software such as MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar.
- Understanding of building codes, regulations and safety standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to solve problems effectively and make decisions under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
