Our Client is a multinational company operating in the Oil & Gas sector.

FUNCTION

Reporting to the HSE Ops Manager with reporting line to Site HSE Manager, the main activities of the function are to  assist in the development and implementation safe work practices that will assist social economic development (SED) projects to meet all appropriate legislative occupational health and safety requirements and provide a safe and healthy work environment; assist and support implementation partners with industry best practices, local and Mozambique guidelines and Industry EHS guidelines; monitor all activities and projects under the SED outside of the DUAT area; develop and coordinate training and education sessions and programs to ensure implementation partners and personnel are aware of their responsibilities and to improve their capabilities; assist with identification, education and use of PPE that is correct for the task, training on how to correctly use prescribed PPE; conduct frequent HSE inspections and audits, develop action plans and follow up; generate weekly and monthly reports and report to site and Maputo based HSE teams; ensure each project and Implementation partners has an HSE plan and is applied; implement occupational health and environment management plans as per the HSE plans; raise awareness on environment and biodiversity aspects pertaining implementation partners activities; conduct safety performance KPI’s for safety; assist in the reporting, investigation and suggestion of corrective and/or preventing actions resulting from incidents, hazards and inspections.

Requisitos

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in management/H&S Engineering fields/Nebosh or equivalent certificate;
  • Minimum of 3 years in construction operation or similar HSE experience;
  • HSE Training or competencies;
  • Knowledge of Mozambique HSE legislation is required;
  • English written and verbal communication skills;
  • Fluency in Portuguese and/or French is advantageous.
