Tetra Tech International Development (International Development Jobs – Tetra Tech) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for Technical Specialist positions on a potential USAID-funded program in Mozambique. The Renda Verde Activity is anticipated to be a five-year program focused on boosting communities in leveraging the benefits of living in nature across key biodiversity conservation areas ‐ and benefit local people through sharing of nature‐based revenue.
Tetra Tech seeks qualified Mozambican candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Forestry;
- Biodiversity conservation;
- Community Based Natural Resource Management;
- Coastal ecosystem adaptation and resilience;
- Market systems development;
- Institutional strengthening;
- Gender, youth, and social inclusion;
- Private sector engagement;
- Grants management;
- Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning;
- Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting;
- Communications.
Qualifications
- University degree or higher in a relevant area of expertise;
- Seven (7) years of relevant professional experience supporting development programs or similar technical work in Mozambique or East Africa; experience with USAID/USG projects preferred;
- Proven leadership, organizational and writing skills;
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
- Fluency in Portuguese is required; professional fluency in English is an asset;
